Oz Reimagined: Glinda the Good Witch
This project remains a close favourite of mine, I created this project for my Illustrative Drawing class. My project brief was to choose a character from the novel series The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and redesign them. I chose Glinda the Good Witch because of her bright colour palette and pure character plot in the series.
Ce projet reste un de mes préférés, j'ai créé ce projet pour mon cours de dessin illustratif. Mon briefing de projet était de choisir un personnage de la série de romans The Wonderful Wizard of Oz et de les reconcevoir. J'ai choisi Glinda la bonne sorcière en raison de sa palette de couleurs vives et de son intrigue pure dans la série.
With her design I was inspired by costumes from the Wild West era of history with a modern pink colour palette inspired by the movie series "The Wizard of Oz"

" Glinda the Good sat upon a throne of rubies. She was both beautiful and young to their eyes. Her hair was a rich reddish gold and fell in flowing ringlets over her shoulders. Her dress was pure white but her eyes were sparkling blue, and they looked kindly upon the little girl. “What can I do for you, my child?” she asked."
